Jun Shihan Nicky Kirk

Jun Shihan Nicky began her martial arts training in 1984 as a teenager in Wellington at Whanake Rangataua. Then, when her family moved to Christchurch in 1988, she trained in both Seido Karate and Okinawa-Te Karate before finally dedicating herself solely to Seido Karate. Jun Shihan Nicky obtained her Shodan (1st degree black belt) in 1998, achieving Yondan (4th degree black belt) in 2009, Kyoshi in 2015 and Jun Shihan in 2023.

Jun Shihan Nicky runs an open class on Sunday night 5:00pm – 6:00pm. This is a syllabus based class where students can come along and train alongside students of every level from beginner to black belt. This class builds on knowledge obtained from the various grade classes and allows students to practice what they have learnt and build on this
