Senpai Dale Hermiston

Senpai Dale Hermiston started Seido Karate in 1980 in the Timaru dojo. He graded to Shodan in 1998 in Wellington under Sei Shihan Ben Otang.

Senpai Dale achieved his Nidan (2nd dan) in 2019.

Observing several long breaks throughout his karate journey, he has always found returning to training an extremely positive experience. He has been a member of Timaru, Dunedin, Palmerston North, Wellington, Devonport, Christchurch and Rolleston dojos. Senpai Dale is currently the Head Instructor at the Rolleston dojo; training times are Mondays 5-6 pm and Thursdays 5-7 pm. The Rolleston dojo encourages an inclusive atmosphere where families can train together.
